The McDonald Family

Young man in a suit and tie sits on a floral couch, holding hands with a woman in a black long-sleeve shirt and jeans

The Student is Also the Teacher: Cody’s story is especially dear to us. His cognitive struggles pushed Nora to research and learn all that she could about how to help him. He has been one of Nora’s greatest teachers! A few years after he finished his sessions his mom joined EBLI Headquarters and has been an incredible addition to our team.

The Carroll Family

Woman and a boy seated next to each other on chairs, smiling as they talk in a room with a green wall.

Jacob and his mom Joyce were frustrated by his persistent difficulty with reading, writing and spelling over the years. After 18 hours of EBLI instruction (with a brand new EBLI trainee) Jacob became more proficient and successful at reading, his confidence grew, and he was no longer angry or using avoidance tactics.

The Izzo Family

Three people sitting on a living-room couch: an older man in a green jacket, a smiling boy giving a thumbs up, and a woman in a black jacket smiling nearby.

Check out our video detailing the relationship that EBLI and the Izzo’s developed over the collective dedication toward helping the Izzo’s children increase their reading abilities. We deeply cherish the connection that we’ve established with the Izzo family, and we love watching the Michigan State basketball team perform at high levels too!
