Why We Need to Teach Reading Differently

About the Joseph Thomas Bryant Memorial Scholarship

The Joseph Thomas Bryant Memorial Scholarship is offered by EBLI and Ounce of Prevention Reading Center (OOPRC) in memory of OOPRC client Joseph Bryant. In September of 2005, Joseph received EBLI instruction the day before he and five of his siblings were tragically killed in a house fire. Read more about Joseph and his family.
The Scholarship is awarded in January and June of each year. Scholarship includes tuition to one 3-day EBLI training plus all training materials. Scholarship DOES NOT include expenses for travel or lodging; those expenses are the responsibility of the Scholarship recipient.
Who is it for?
Any parent or educator who wishes to use EBLI to help their child(ren) or student(s) may apply for the Scholarship.
How do I apply?
Click here to fill out the online application form.
What happens after I apply?
If you are awarded the Scholarship, we will email you in early January or June (whichever month comes first after you apply). Names of Scholarship recipients will also be posted on the EBLI website, shared on the EBLI Facebook Page, and sent out in the EBLI Newsletter. If you win, you will then be asked to choose an EBLI training to attend. Training dates must no more than 1 year from the date that the Scholarship is awarded.
