Since its inception, the staff at OOPRC has worked 1:1 with 20-50 clients per week with learners aged preschool through senior citizens. The client gains shared below are after an average of 9.5 hours of EBLI instruction. The majority of clients typically receive 12-24 hours of EBLI instruction on average. In 2003/2004, Matthew K. Burns, PhD of the University of Minnesota completed an analysis of the effect EBLI had on students after in-classroom instruction using the EBLI system. These students were in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades in 2 different schools in Michigan. Check out the incredible findings in the slides below.
In June 2006, Kindergarten teachers at Beach Elementary in Fruitport, MI were trained in EBLI. EBLI was then utilized in the classrooms for the entire 2006/2007 school year. Beach Elementary recorded DIBELS scores from before and after EBLI instruction was utilized in the classroom and the results are remarkable. Click through the slides below for more information.
